In macOS 14 and later, Apple has restricted Finder extensions in iCloud folders, but other directories work normally! You can disable iCloud sync for Desktop and Documents folders by going to: System Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud -> iCloud Drive.

If you must enable iCloud Drive sync, you can use the right-click menu in cloud folders by following these steps:

All non-system folders are considered external drives, including USB drives, external hard drives, and partitioned disks. To enable the right-click menu, follow the steps shown below and restart Finder.

1. Go to System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Full Disk Access and add MouseBoost to the list.
2. If an authorization window pops up during use, don't select any folders, just click authorize in the bottom right corner.
This feature requires the application itself to support path navigation. Most editing applications (such as VS Code, Sublime Text, WebStorm, etc.) support this feature. If the application itself doesn't support path navigation, MouseBoost won't be able to automatically open the current path.
